2003  In a magnificent victory for an Irish company RockWorld have won all three awards at this year GROWERS OF THE YEAR awards. Not only did we win BEST PRODUCT STAND, we also won BEST NEW RETAIL PRODUCT and most prestigiously they won OVERALL WINNER. RockWorld won the awards for their natural rocks features and particularly their unique “Day & Night Waterfeature”, which is not only a superb example of handcrafted Irish Sandstone but also a unique water feature in that there is a light concealed in the rock which glows (a bright amber) in the darkness giving the effect of a flame as the water bubbles over the rock. RockWorld were presented with the unrivaled 3 awards by the Minister of Horticulture Mr. Noel Treacy at the annual GROWERS OF THE YEAR awards night on 24^th July 2003. The awards where sponsored by Floramedia & Higbury Nexus. The trade only GROWERS OF THE YEAR exhibition was held as Goff’s, Co. Kildare on 24 & 25^th July and the event is Ireland Showcase exhibition for Irish Landscapers and Horticulturists attracting exhibitors from Ireland, UK and Europe. RockWorld beat off strong competition from all the exhibitors and where judged by a panel of six judges representing the horticultural industry. RockWorld will now go on to represent Ireland in London in January 2004. RockWorlds award winning water feature was carefully designed to suit interior as well as outside use and was cleverly illuminated from inside the rock to give the water the appearance of a moving flame as the water bubbled over the rock. So not only can you enjoy the relaxing sound of flowing water during the day but at night the illuminated water adds a whole new exciting dimension to the feature.   RockWorld’s 2004  Product Of The Year.

RockWorld’s winning natural stone waterfeatures are all hand made in our workshop in Allenwood, Co. Kildare and more importantly each unique feature is carefully crafted using only Irish stone (granite, sandstone, limestone and slate).

RockWorld received this highly prestigious Floramedia/Nexus Product of the Year Award at the 10^th Annual Grower of the Year awards in London’s Lancaster Hotel on Thursday 26^th February 2004 and they were presented with the award by Peter Rogers, OBE.

On returning to Ireland the next evening RockWorld where then personally congratulated on their outstanding achievement by Charlie McCreevy, ex Minster of Finance and Councilor Michael Fitzpatrick, ex Mayor of Kildare.

The Floramedia/Nexus Product of the Year Award is the culmination of a year-long round of new product competitions at various trade shows in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. At these shows exhibitors compete in various new product categories. At each show one category is named “overall” winner. These overall winners then went forward as finalists in the Product of the Year Award. RockWorld beat of all competitors to become the 2004 overall winner. The seven judges included Peter Rogers, OBE, editor in chief, Grower Magazine and Professor Chris Payne, Head of Horticulture & Landscape at Reading University.

RockWorld’s waterfeatures are each totally unique and the buyer has the unique opportunity of having their feature tailored to their own requirements. This gives each client a personal interest in what will indeed be the focal point and “wow factor” of their landscape. Architects and Landscapers as well as the general public are able to consult RockWorld’s experienced team Monday-Friday 10-6pm at their showrooms in Allenwood, Co. Kildare and can even be given a tour of their storage yard which contains hundreds of feature rocks.
